About us

Who We Are

A registered non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable people in our communities.

Our story

Compassion, delivered in person

RAMES Empowerment Foundation exists because too many people in our communities go without the basics: a health check, a box of medicines, exercise books for school, food and clothing in hard seasons. We are an outreach organisation dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable people, and we do it by showing up in person.

Our outreach teams travel into communities across Lagos State to help, provide and render assistance. We help widows, young children, people living with disabilities and many more, supporting them physically, emotionally and mentally: providing foodstuffs, clothing and medical care, educating people, and listening to them talk about their difficulties so that we can try to solve problems together.

The foundation's work builds on years of hands-on humanitarian service by Amb. Franklin Bell Ogbeni, including free palliatives for families during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown and a Christmas distribution of gifts and essentials in the same year. That same spirit of practical generosity runs through every RAMES outreach today.

We believe sustainable impact comes from partnership: with community leaders who know their neighbourhoods, with faith groups and healthcare professionals who lend their skills, and with donors and volunteers who make each outreach possible.
